Spurs have secured the services of Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku on loan from Premier League champions Chelsea for the upcoming season.
The 28-year-old striker, who has scored 156 goals in 399 appearances for the Blues, is set to join Tottenham on a one-and-a-half year deal that will see him play at White Hart Lane until the end of June next year.
Lukaku was originally signed by Chelsea from Everton in 2014 and has since become one of the most prolific strikers in English football, scoring over 100 goals in just four seasons with the club.
He is renowned for his clinical finishing ability and his ability to score from difficult positions, which makes him a valuable asset to any team.
Spurs fans were delighted with the news that their club had managed to land such a talented player on loan. The addition of Lukaku could give the North London side a boost ahead of the new season, as they look to challenge for honours once again.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will be hoping that they can recoup some of the £75 million fee paid for Lukaku when he first joined the club, but it seems that the transfer is a win-win situation for both parties involved.
